JCB is a family owned Construction and Agricultural equipment manufacturer, headquartered in the UK. The company was formed in 1945 by Joseph Cyril Bamford, in Uttoxeter.

JCB has grown to be the world's 3rd largest construction equipment manufacturer. Innovation is at the heart of JCB and over the years, new JCB product concepts have transformed the construction and agricultural industries – from the invention of the most versatile construction machine in the world, the Backhoe Loader in 1953, and the Loadall materials handler in 1977 to the Fastrac tractor in 1991. JCB's range of 4 and 6 cylinder diesel engines are leading the way in low emission technologies, so much so that JCB's customers will save over 1 billion litres of fuel a year using JCB's new machines. JCB holds the world land speed record for the JCB Dieselmax at 350.092 mph, powered by JCB's new Dieselmax engines, introduced in 2006.

JCB has 22 manufacturing plants in 4 continents with the most recent being a new £62m investment in Jaipur, India. JCB sells over 300 products around the world through a network of 770 dealers.
