The level of risk from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) threats may seem remote to businesses. However, in an increasingly unstable and volatile world, there is a real potential to which businesses in the UK, and particularly those with overseas footprints are becoming more vulnerable. Not all the potential threats emanate from criminal, terrorist or hostile state actors. Perhaps a more present danger is the inadvertent or accidental release of chemical, nuclear or radiological material or in a biological context pandemic virus. This CSARN briefing in association with Victoria BID will examine the threat and risk posed in a CBRNE context, in addition, expert speakers will discuss mitigation and response strategies.
