Richard Stones OBE

Richard was the first serving police officer worldwide to be appointed a Chartered Security Profession (CSyP). He was awarded an OBE for services to business security and he now promotes security by design principles internationally through his business CPTED-UK Ltd. He represents the security discipline as an Expert with the High Street Task Force and Design Council and also as a Technical advisor to EU funded security projects. He is a contributing author to the UN's handbook on the Protection of Crowded Places and also wrote the UK Chapter of the Homeland Security Handbook.
